My left elbow has been sore for the past week, but just today someone told me it was swollen. I looked at it and I was surprised. When I bend my elbow it looks like a golf ball is attached to it….

is the swelling on the back of it? if so, its sounds like Olecranon Bursitis…
If it’s hot and red, you need to get the doctor to take a look, as there may be some infection present. If its just sore and puffy then it may help to use ice pack wrapped in damp tea towel on it for 10 – 15′ x4 times day, and maybe topical anti -inflammatory gel (read the directions on the pack carefully).

A good physio will be happy to take a look and advise you personally- always the best move.
